    By using recycled mercury in the manufacture of their Compact Fluorescent bulbs MaxLite is taking one more step in protecting the environment. Now instead of the bulbs going into the landfill, and depositing their mercury, the bulbs are recycled, the mercury extracted and the mercury put back into new bulbs. The circle of manufacture is closed and the mercury is contained.

    As a leading energy efficient lighting manufacturer, MaxLite, in responding to its customers, has developed one of the first and most comprehensive CFL and Linear Lamp Recycling Programs available. Under MaxLite’s program, the recycling box is delivered to the job site or retail store. When the box is full it is taped closed, labeled with the enclosed address labels, and a phone call later, it is picked up and delivered to the recycling facility. The facility then sends the retailer or contractor the paperwork authenticating the recycle.
